So today, what i gonna do? Haha is Latte Art Workshop

The tutor as well as the owner 'Kala' explained the theory of latte art and teach us some basic technique.

 The Making of Latte Art
  1. Prepare coffee powder. The tutor said the ideal coffee powder should be mixed at least 2 to produce a prefect taste. Either nutsy or fuity taste is depends on which country's coffee beans.
  2. Using coffee blender machine. Espresso is the main soul of a coffee. Every coffee needs espresso.
  3. Pour 1/3 milk inside the steel container first. The ideal coffee is both steam milk and espresso are same temperature.
  • Latte: single shot espresso (25ml) + steam milk + foam
  • Cappuccino: same ingredient with latte but more foam
      4. Plug coffee powder inside the machine and press start 'single espresso'. Kindly remind, press start button to ensure hot water flow before lock the coffee powder inside the machine.

      5. Steam milk until 60-70 degree Celsius. Either you can use thermometer or feels it by your hand. Once you feels the burning finger sensation, then is the right temperature.

      6. Now espresso and steam foam milk are ready. There are four little steps to follow.
  •    Directly pour little milk inside the espresso (increase height a bit to ensure the milk soak deep inside)
  • Start pouring the milk inside espresso clockwise like drawing circle until 60-70% full
  • Stop for a seconds. Then start shack your wrist to pour the milk like 'Zic Zac'
  • Lastly draw a 'tick' to become the tail of heart.

Here is my art piece. The big heart suppose on middle but this is my first trial. You can use latte tool or toothpick to draw others decorations on blank space.
So tasty. (My personal feeling hahaha)

Hey peps, not to forget to tell you. I also joining the ink indigo workshop. The ink is all origin from nature sources such as stem of flower, ginger, orange etc.
Today what I using is blue stem of flower. The workshop is including a piece of handkerchief and a pocket size bag for you to dye.

The beginning of class, the tutor will teach you how to design different pattern such as straight line, circle, star or flower by using rubber band to tie up, chopsticks, ice cream stick or even tube.

Here is my art piece 'before' colour dye

Here is the fermented blue steam dye. A bit of fishy smell

Here is my final art piece looks like. I made a flower shape on handkerchief and semi-circle on the corner. For the pocket bag, I made a horizontal line on bottom and freedom pattern on upper part.
